“Depression is possibly the oldest virus that has afflicted everybody on the earth. The medical term ‘depressive disorder’ is a group of symptoms that imitates a tremendously sad. The intensity of sadness is greater in severity and duration compared to normal bouts of sadness” (based on Amanda Kahler; 2010).
Controlling our emotions is an important thing to learn because if we do not learn how to manage our problems properly it could lead to depression. However, everybody nowadays that experience depressions which may happen due to too much problems in their daily life that could lead them towards suicide, disturbance of mental disorder and becoming a less productive of individual.
Being housewives is not an easy task. It needs sacrifice. The number of woman having depression is increasing days by days. Women confused about their role in home are one of the causes. They tend to play the role as a father, and mother in the same time. There are types of men who neglected their obligation as a father and thus this cause the wife to having depression. Women with career are not uncommon these days. Can you imagine careered woman and being housewives in the same time? Who would not feel depressed? And reconcile with having many children needs mental and physical strength.
One of the effects of having too much house chores among housewives may lead to suicide. Suicide can consider as a complication of depression illness that courage the housewives to take that idiot action. According to “Suicide and Depression”, (2012), up to 15% of who face critically depressed die by suicide. It also can be increased from time to time. So how should we solve these phenomena? As a housewife, the best treatment of depression among housewives is not only depends on the medical help and therapy but also need rely on family and friends support.
As a consequence of having too much depression may leads to mental disorder. As normal human it is common if we have problems. However, if we do not how to manage our problems wisely it could be a burden on ourselves. Sometimes, this depression could make one become insomniac. This is because they think too much about the problem thus, they cannot think properly and this may lead to mental problems or personality disorder. In addition to it, we know when we are having less rest our brain cannot function or work appropriately. Thereby, people will start to imagine something that rare or an ordinary which obviously can affect the mental.
Consequently, depressed individuals are more liable to become slow and less productive. They tend to be indecisive and not confident of themselves thus, making the individual more vulnerable in making mistakes in their daily routines. Besides that, these depressed individuals are less likely to be friendly with their friends and also family members. They are more prone to being alone and becoming anti-social. Sometimes also, we could see that these depressed individuals are more likely to suffer chronic fatigue, which would be very stressful to them and could also make them aggressive.

Basically, there are three parts of the introductory paragraph that are :
- The Hook - is designed to grab attention immediately and give some indication about the essay’s topic
- The Transition - moves the reader from the hook to the driving force of the essay
- The Thesis Statement - that can makes the contract with the reader about what will be discussed without a blatant announcement
For your information, there are sum of 8 hooks that you can use in your writing. Usually, we will only choose 3 hook out of the total. The 8 hooks are :
- Begins with a broad, general statement of your topic and narrow down to your thesis statement / Funnel.
- Using Facts or Statistics
- Start with an idea or situation that is the opposite of the one you want to develop / Contrast to the thesis statement /turnabout.
- Explain the importance of your topic to the reader / Use Current Events.
- Use an incident or brief story or Personal Examples / Observations.
- Ask rhetorical questions
- Use a quotation
- Using definition.
Lastly, I provide an exercise to practice your knowledge. http://www.slideshare.net/tmeade94/introductory-paragraph-exercises

Good evening guys!!
Today class Miss Zu taught us about transition. There are many definition of transition. However, definition of transition from literary & literary critical terms is a sentence, passage, etc., that connects a topic to one that follows or that links section of a written works. In other words, a transition word directly tells the reader the logical relationship between one idea and another idea. It can help you to make your writing coherent. This is because they can create connections between one clause and another clause, one sentence and another sentence, & one group of sentences and the next group of sentences.
IMPORTANT!!
Different type of transition word can be use for different connections that I have mention above. I will show a few example of transition below this:

- HOWEVER - tells the readers that the logical relationship between the two ideas is contrast. For example : Faizal loves to go swimming to the ocean however, his parents won't allow him to do that.
- FUTHERMORE - can be used to joining two independent clauses. For example : Hakim is a great swimmer futhermore, he is very good at scuba diving.
- IN FACT - use it to tells the readers that the logical relationship between two sentences. For example : Amri is very athletic. In fact, he plays three sports at school.
* Transition in longer writing is important when you want to let the reader know that you are changing from one idea to another idea.
Here, i will provided some exercise for you to practice.. Don't forget to try it!!

Hey guys and Assalamualikum..
Since Miss Zu is not feeling very well for last week, so I did not have to post anything. Today, we learn about synonym or contextual clues. Can you imagine how the essay would be if we kept repeating the same word until the end of the essay? If everything such as person, place, object, etc. in the world had only one word to refer to it, the essay would be a very boring for the readers. in order to make the language more interesting, we must use synonym in our writing or speaking. Basically, synonym can be defined as a word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another word or other words in a language.
For your information, we can use synonym for all parts of speech like nouns, verbs, adverbs or preposition not only for adjectives.
Below, I will list a few of example about synonym for nouns, verbs, adverbs, preposition and adjectives.
Amazing : Awesome, Incredible, Astonishing (Adjectives)
Car : Auto, Automobile, Motorcar (Nouns)
Participate : Take part, Join (Verbs)
Quickly : Fast, Promptly (Adverbs)
On : Upon (Preposition)
Adore : Idolize, Worship (Verbs)
Enemy : Adversary, Antagonist, Foe, Opponent (Nouns)
Famous : Eminent, Renowned (Adjectives)
Gain : Obtain, Profit, Secure (Nouns)
Gloom : Darkness, Depression, Melancholy (Verbs)
IMPORTANT!!!
We cannot easily synonym to make an essay interesting. When replacing a word with its synonym, make sure the meaning of the sentence in the specific context is maintained as well. Synonym are defined according to certain senses of words.
For example :
This is my senior year at University.
* Senior in this sentence cannot be replaced with the words older or elder, since yhe meaning of the sentence will change and will make less sense.
* However, senior in the sense of fourth year can be replaced with the word last and the meaning and the meaning will remain the same as in the sentence.
Here, I provide an easy exercise for synonym. Let's try it!
