Comparing-Contrast Essay is the topic that Miss Zu taught us today.. When we want to make a decision about something that we not sure, we use comparing-contrast essay. In your everyday life, you must have to make a choose between two or more choices. For example to choose which one you would have for breakfast wether 'nasi lemak' or 'roti canai', which transport you would use, etc. In order to make a decision, you will consider the similarities and differences, and evaluate all the relevant aspects that concern the choices that you have to made.
Similarly, in a comparison-contrast essay, we need both similarities and differences between the two ideas or topics. When you want to compare the ideas, you use similarities whereas when you want to contrast, you will use the differences. We need to do something like this:
