Okay, today lesson is we continue with the term papers. Miss Zu wanted to confirm the topic, type of essay and the topic that is suitable based on our essay for the term papers as we know there are five types of essay which are Cause-Effect Essay, Problem-Solution Essay, Comparison-Contrast Essay, Argumentative Essay, and Discussion Essay. As you all know my partner for the term papers is Siti Norsaleha Binti Mastor. We have decided to choose Discussion Essay, pattern 3. Our topic is "The Positive and Negative Sides towards the Young Married Couples".
Miss Zu asked us to did the thesis statement and the outline exactly like in the EAP text book page 35. The outlining have to follow the format and if we did not follow it, 3 marks will be reduced.
We have to remember that different type of essay have different outlines. Thesis statement for
Comparison-Contrast Essay, Argumentative Essay, and Discussion Essay are the same where we did not have to include the three main point in it but we need to include our stand.
For example, the thesis statement for our term paper:
There is no denying that married at the young my bring an enjoyment and fun however, there are strong evidence that shows the negative sides too.
Last but not least, we must practice on all type of essay as I mention earlier. This is because in exactly, all types of essay may be ask.
